Call To Worship:
Psalms 16:1-11
Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge. I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.” As for the holy ones in the land, they are the noble ones in whom is all my delight. Those who choose another god multiply their sorrows; their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out or take their names upon my lips. The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; I have a goodly heritage. I bless the Lord, who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me. I keep the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my soul rejoices; my body also rests secure. For you do not give me up to Sheol or let your faithful one see the Pit. You show me the path of life. In your presence there is fullness of joy; in your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

My God is awesome, awesome
Awesome, awesome

Beautiful
Verse 1
I see Your face in every sunrise
The colors of the morning are inside Your eyes
The world awakens in the light of the day
I look up to the sky and say
You’re beautiful
Verse 2
I see Your power in the moonlit night
Where planets are in motion and galaxies are bright
We are amazed in the light of the stars
It’s all proclaiming who You are
You’re beautiful, You're beautiful
Verse 3
I see you there hanging on a tree
You bled and then you died and then you rose again for me
Now you are sitting on Your heavenly throne
Soon we will be coming home
You’re beautiful, you're beautiful
Verse 4
When we arrive at eternity’s shore
Where death is just a memory and tears are no more
We’ll enter in as the wedding bells ring
Your bride will come together and we’ll sing You’re beautiful,
You're beautiful, You're beautiful
(Bridge)
I see Your face, You're beautiful, You're beautiful, You're beautiful
I see Your face, You're beautiful, You're beautiful, You're beautiful
Build Your Kingdom Here
Verse 1
Come set Your rule and reign
In our hearts again
Increase in us we pray
Unveil why we're made
Come set our hearts ablaze with hope
Like wildfire in our very souls
Holy Spirit, come invade us now
We are Your Church
And we need Your power
In us
Verse 2
We seek Your kingdom first
We hunger and we thirst
Refuse to waste our lives
For You're our joy and prize
To see the captive hearts released
The hurt, the sick, the poor at peace
We lay down our lives for Heaven's cause
We are Your church
And we pray revive
This earth
Chorus
Build Your kingdom here
Let the darkness fear
Show Your mighty hand
Heal our streets and land
Set Your church on fire
Win this nation back
Change the atmosphere
Build Your kingdom here
We pray
Reckless Love
Verse 1
Before I spoke a word You were singing over me
You have been so so good to me
Before I took a breath You breathed Your life in me
You have been so so kind to me
Chorus 1
O the overwhelming never-ending reckless
Love of God
O it chases me down fights 'til I'm found
Leaves the ninety-nine
I couldn't earn it I don't deserve it
Still You give Yourself away
O the overwhelming never-ending reckless
Love of God yeah
Verse 2
When I was Your foe still Your love fought for me
You have been so so good to me
When I felt no worth You paid it all for me
You have been so so kind to me
(Bridge)
There's no shadow You won't light up
Mountain You won't climb up
Coming after me
There's no wall You won't kick down
Lie You won't tear down
Coming after me
Teaching: Fruit of the Spirit: Joy
Practice 1: Expressing Gratitude
Activity: M&M gratitude exercise
Get in groups of 3-4 and open your M&M bags. Take turns sharing something you’re grateful for based on your M&M’s color! (See image below)
Practice 2: Fostering Community
Activity: Missio Community Bingo
The purpose of this activity is to get to know each other. See if you can get a Bingo (5 in a row, any direction), or a black out board if you’re feeling lucky! Mosey around the room and see what you can learn about the people who make Missio the community it is.
Adults, please give support to our non-spellers so everyone can participate meaningfully!
Practice 3: Prioritizing delight
Activity: Get back into your M&M groups and share what brings you delight.
What did you enjoy as a child?
What have you enjoyed in the past, but don’t do anymore?
What are you enjoying now?
Communion:
Head up to the front to take communion.
Once you take communion head back to your seat and complete this activity:
Turn your Community Bingo cards over (blank side showing) and fold it so you have three columns. Write “Expressing Gratitude” at the top of the left column, “Meaningful Community in the middle, and “Prioritizing Delight” on the right. Jot down a prayer or reflection in each of these areas.
Benediction:
Move among us, Spirit,
and gather us together with you.
Take our many selves—
our lives, our loves, our ideas,
our questions, our speech, our silence—
and unite us as your people.
Give us the gifts of presence, transformation and guidance,
so that even as we dream your dreams and see your visions,
we may be able to witness to your presence
in our common life.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.—(2 Corinthians 13:14)
Amen.
