Call To Worship:
Hebrews 11:1-2, 13
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for.
“All of these died in faith without having received the promises, but from a distance they saw and greeted them.”
Songs:
Awesome God
Chorus 1
Our God is an awesome God
He reigns from heaven above
With wisdom pow'r and love
Our God is an awesome God
Verse 1
When He rolls up His sleeves
He ain't just puttin' on the ritz
Our God is an awesome God
There is thunder in His footsteps
And lightning in His fists
Our God is an awesome God
And the Lord wasn't joking
When He kicked 'em out of Eden
It wasn't for no reason
That He shed His blood
His return is very close
And so you'd better be believin'
That our God is an awesome God
Verse 2
When the sky was starless
In the void of the night
Our God is an awesome God
He spoke into the darkness
And created the light
Our God is an awesome God
Judgment and wrath
He poured out on Sodom
Mercy and grace
He gave us at the cross
I hope that we have not
Too quickly forgotten
That our God is an awesome God
Jesus Loves the Little Children
Jesus loves the little children
All the children of the world
Red and yellow, black and white
They are precious in His sight
Jesus loves the little children of the world
Jesus died for all the children
All the children of the world
Red and yellow, black and white
They are precious in His sight
Jesus died for all the children of the world
Jesus rose for all the little children
All the children of the world
Red and yellow, black and white
They are precious in His sight
Jesus loves the little children of the world
Jesus Lives for all the little children
All the children of the world
Red and yellow, black and white
They are precious in His sight
Jesus loves the little children of the world
Prayer Time #1: Foundation of Faith
I want you to think of stories of people who came before you who helped lay a foundation of faith for you.
And then share a few of those stories in your group. Who laid a foundation of faith upon which you are now standing.
Then I want someone (Pray for everyone who would like to be prayed for) in your group to pray a simple prayer over … “Lord thank you for the people you have placed in____________ life who have helped model a life of faith for them.”
Then have someone wrap up your time with this simple prayer… “Lord, help us to trust and have faith that what we do today is helping ourselves and others stand on a legacy of faith.”
All Creatures of Our God and King

All creatures of our God and King
Lift up your voice and with us sing
O praise Him alleluia
Thou burning sun with golden beam
Thou silver moon with softer gleam
O praise Him O praise Him
Alleluia alleluia alleluia
Verse 2
Thou rushing wind that art so strong
Ye clouds that sail in Heav'n along
O praise Him alleluia
Thou rising moon in praise rejoice
Ye lights of evening find a voice
O praise Him O praise Him
Alleluia alleluia alleluia
Verse 3
Let all things their Creator bless
And worship Him in humbleness
O praise Him alleluia
Praise praise the Father praise the Son
And praise the Spirit three in One
O praise Him O praise Him
Alleluia alleluia alleluia
Prayer Time #2: Kingdom Core Values
How do you see God’s provision right now in your life or in the life of someone you know?
How have you experienced forgiveness? Both in needing to be forgiven and in needing to forgive?
What does faithfulness to God look like in your life right now?
Spend 1 minute in silence together reflecting on God’s work in each of these areas in your collective story.
Pray this prayer over one another:
“Jesus, provide for our needs now and always. Forgive us when we falter and make mistakes, and help us to forgive others. Help us remain faithful to you as King of our lives this week.”
Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)
Verse 1
Amazing grace how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost but now I'm found
Was blind but now I see
Verse 2
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed
Chorus 1
My chains are gone I've been set free
My God my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love amazing grace
Verse 3
The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures
Verse 4
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God who called me here below
Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine
You are forever mine
Prayer Time #3:
Head up to the communion table and take communion back to your seat.
Read Matthew 26:26-29 together
26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” 27 Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. 29 I tell you, I will not drink from this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”
Pray together and take communion
Missio’s Core Values
Belonging
Simplicity
Creativity
Movement
Where do you feel these core values most as a part of Missio?
How can we live into these core values better?
How do these help us get closer to our mission and to Jesus’ desire for God’s Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven?
Benediction:
Our Father in heaven,
May your name be revered as holy.
May your kingdom come.
May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And do not bring us to the time of trial, but rescue us from the evil one.
May the strength of God pilot us;
May the wisdom of God instruct us,
May the hand of God protect us,
May the word of God direct us.
Be always ours this day and for evermore.
Amen
