Call To Worship:

Restore us again, God our Savior,

and put away your displeasure toward us.

Will you be angry with us forever?

Will you prolong your anger through all generations?

Will you not revive us again,

that your people may rejoice in you?

Show us your unfailing love, LORD,

and grant us your salvation.

Psalm 85:4-7

You have fed us with the bread of sorrow,

And have made us drink tears by the bowlful.

You have made us an object of derision to our neighbors,

and our enemies mock us.

Psalm 80:5-6

I will listen to what God the LORD says;

he promises peace to his people, his faithful servants—

but let them not turn to folly.

Surely his salvation is near those who fear him,

that his glory may dwell in our land.

Unfailing love and faithfulness have met together.

Righteousness and peace have kissed!

Faithfulness springs up from the earth,

and righteousness smiles down from heaven.

Yes, the LORD will give what is good,

and our land will yield its bountiful harvest.

Psalm 85:8-12

Restore us, God Almighty;

make your face shine on us,

that we may be saved.

Psalm 80:7

Then we your people, the sheep of your pasture,

will praise you forever;

from generation to generation

we will proclaim your praise.

Psalm 79:13

Teaching:

  • We are wrapping up the “Story of All Stories”

  • What big idea things did you learn in this series?

  • How does God’s story and his relationship to his people in scripture relate to your story?

Benediction:

May you follow in the footsteps of Jesus,

May you be the hands of him who touched the sick,

The feet of him who walked among the lowly,

The arms of him who embraced the despised,

And the mouth of him who proclaimed liberty for all.

The Lord bless you and keep you;

the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;

the Lord lift up his face upon you and give you peace.
