Did you Feel the Mountains Tremble
Verse 1
Did you feel the mountains tremble
Did you hear the oceans roar
When the people rose to sing of
Jesus Christ the risen one.
Verse 2
Did you feel the people’s tremble
Did you hear the singers roar
When the lost began to sing of
Jesus Christ the saving one.
Bridge
And we can see that God, you’re moving
A mighty river through the nations
And young and old will turn to Jesus
Fling wide, you heavenly gates
Prepare the way of the risen Lord
Chorus
Open up the doors and let the music play
Let the streets resound with singing
Songs that bring your hope, songs that bring your joy
Dancers who dance upon injustice
verse 3
Do you feel the darkness tremble
when all the saints join in one song
And all the streams flow as one river
To wash away our brokenness
Bridge 2
And here we see that God, you’re moving
a time of jubilee is coming
When young and old return to Jesus
Fling wide, you heavenly gates
prepare the way of the risen Lord
Call to Worship
Matthew 11:25-30
25 At that time Jesus said, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and the intelligent and have revealed them to infants; 26 yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. 27 All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Songs
Love Like This
When I am a wasteland
You are the water
When I am the winter
You are the fire that burns
When I am a long night
You are the sunrise
When I am a desert
You are the river that turns
To find me
What have I done to deserve love like this?
What have I done to deserve love like this?
Your voice like a whisper
Breaking the silence
You say there's a treasure
You'll look 'til You find it
You search to find me
What have I done to deserve love like this?
What have I done to deserve love like this?
I cannot earn what You so freely give
What have I done to deserve love like this?
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
What have I done to deserve love like this?
What have I done to deserve love like this?
I cannot earn what You so freely give
What have I done to deserve love like this?

Misc 2
(Bridge)
You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord blessed be Your name
Goodness of God
I love You, Lord
For Your mercy never fails me
All my days, I've been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
'Cause all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
I love Your voice
You have led me through the fire
In darkest night You are close like no other
I've known You as a Father
I've known You as a Friend
And I have lived in the goodness of God, yeah
'Cause all my life You have been faithful, oh yes You have
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
Your goodness is running after, it's running after me
Your goodness is running after, it's running after me
With my life laid down, I surrendered now
I give You everything, oh Lord
Your goodness is running after, it's running after me
Your goodness is running after, it's running after me (oh yeah, oh yeah)
Your goodness is running after, it's running after me
With my life laid down, I surrendered now
I give You everything
Your goodness is running after, it keeps running after me
And all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I'm gonna sing of the goodness of God
I'm gonna sing
All my life You have been faithful
(All of my life You've been faithful)
All my life You have been so, so good
(So good with every breath)
every breath that I am able
(Every breath I'm able)
I will sing (I'm gonna sing)
Of the goodness (of the goodness of God, yes I am)
I'm gonna sing of the goodness of God
Oh, I'm gonna sing of the goodness of God
Teaching: Apocalyptic Literature
Galatians 1:15-16
15 “But when the one who had set me apart before I was born and called me through his grace was pleased16 to reveal his Son to me, so that I might proclaim him among the gentiles, I did not confer with any human, 17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were already apostles before me, but I went away at once into Arabia, and afterward I returned to Damascus.”
Communion:
Head up to the front to take communion.
Head back to your seat and reflect on the following questions:
In what ways has Jesus been revealing himself to you?
How might we become people that Jesus can use to help reveal himself to the people around us?
Benediction:
As we live as exiles in the world,
may we work for the welfare of our city,
lifting all things to God in prayer.
While we may encounter trials and tribulations,
let us remember who we belong to and where our faith lies.
Living lives allegiant to Jesus,
obedient to his ways,
and hopeful for his renewal of all things.
“Now to him who is able to keep you from falling
and to make you stand without blemish
in the presence of his glory with rejoicing,
to the only God our Savior,
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
be glory, majesty, power, and authority,
before all time and now and forever. Amen.” (Jude 1:24-25)
