Call To Worship:
Galatians 5:22-26,
“By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things. 24 And those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, competing against one another, envying one another.”

Come All Who are Weary Come
Come all who are weary I will give you rest
Come all who are striving
Lean upon my breast
For my yoke is easy And my burden light
O come all who are weary, come
Come all who are wounded Crying out how long
Come all who are waiting For the break of dawn
Darkness will not hide me
Forever from your sight
O come all who are wounded, come
Come all who are weeping All whose hope is gone
Come all who are silent All who′ve lost their song
Your every tear is numbered
Your every sorrow known
O come all who are weeping, come
O come all who are weary
Wounded and weeping
All of God's children, come
King of My Heart
Verse 1
Let the King of my heart
Be the mountain where I run
The fountain I drink from
Oh He is my song
Let the King of my heart
Be the shadow where I hide
The ransom for my life
Oh He is my song

Be the wind inside my sails
The anchor in the waves

Be the fire inside my veins
The echo of my days
Oh He is my song

Teaching: Holy Spirit: Transformation
Galatians 5:22-26,
“By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things. 24 And those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, competing against one another, envying one another.”
The NT talks of us being members of one another (Rom. 12:5, Eph 4:25), who are to build up one another (1 Thess. 5:11, Rom. 14:19), to care for one another (1 Cor. 12:25) to love one another (1 Thess. 3:12, 4:9, 2 Thess 1:3, Rom. 13:8), to pursue one another’s good (1 Thess. 5:15), to bear with one another in love (Eph. 4:2), to bear one another’s burdens (Gal. 6:2), to be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another (Eph. 4:32, Col. 3:13) to submit to one another (Eph. 5:21) to consider one another better than ourselves (Phil 2:3), to be devoted to one another in love (Rom 12:10) to live in harmony with one another (Rom12:16).
Ephesians 4:1-3
I, therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace:
Romans 12:8
“as far as it depends on you, live at peace with all people.”
Romans 8:18-28
“I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory about to be revealed to us. 19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the children of God, 20 for the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its enslavement to decay and will obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning together as it suffers together the pains of labor, 23 and not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly while we wait for adoption, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope, for who hopes for what one already sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with groanings too deep for words. 27 And God,who searches hearts, knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28 We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.”
Communion:
Head up to the front to take communion.
Once you take communion head back to your seat and reflect and pray over the following questions:
What is the Spirit telling me?
What am I doing to do about it?
How can we help?
Come Just As you Are
Come just as you are
Hear the Spirit call
Come just as you are
Come and see,
Come receive
Come and live forever
Life everlasting
And strength for today
Taste the Living Water
And never thirst again
Benediction:
Move among us, Spirit,
and gather us together with you.
Take our many selves—
our lives, our loves, our ideas,
our questions, our speech, our silence—
and unite us as your people.
Give us the gifts of presence, transformation and guidance,
so that even as we dream your dreams and see your visions,
we may be able to witness to your presence
in our common life.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.—(2 Corinthians 13:14)
Amen.
