Songs

Come All Who Are Weary

[Verse 1]
Come all who are weary
I will give you rest
Come all who are striving
Lean upon my breast

For my yoke is easy
And my burden light
O come all who are weary, come

[Verse 2]
Come all who are wounded
Crying out “How long?”
Come all who are waiting
For the break of dawn

Darkness will not hide me
Forever from your sight
O come all who are wounded, come

[Verse 3]
Come all who are weeping
All whose hope is gone
Come all who are silent
All who’ve lost their song

Your every tear is numbered
Your every sorrow known
O come all who are weeping, come

[Close]
O come all who are weary
Wounded and weeping
All of God’s children, come

Oh God

Verse 1

In the valley oh God You're near

In the quiet oh God You're near

In the shadow oh God You're near

At my breaking oh God You're near

Chorus 1

Oh God You never leave my side

Your love stands firm through all my life

Verse 2

In my searching oh God You're near

In my wandering oh God You're near

When I feel alone oh God You're near

At my lowest oh God You're near

Misc 1

(Bridge)

Height nor depth nor anything else

Could pull us apart

We are joined as one by Your blood

Hope will rise as we become more

Than conquerors through the One who loved the world

Chorus 2

Oh God You never leave my side

Oh God Your love will stand firm through all my life

By My Side

O my friend just stay with me
Stay with me
Stay with me

O my friend jus stay with me
by my side

O my friend just weep with me
weep with me
weep with me

O my friend just weep with me
By my side

Wherever I go, by my side
above and below, by my side
You know my faith gets low
when the waters rise
Please be by my side

Hold my hand and walk with me
walk with me
walk with me

Hold my hand and walk with me
by my side

Wherever I go, by my side
above and below, by my side
You know my faith gets low
when the waters rise
Please be by my side

Teaching: Holy Spirit- Ending the Series

Isaiah 44:3,

“For I will pour water on the thirsty land and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my spirit upon your descendants and my blessing on your offspring.”

Ezekiel 39:28-29,

28 Then they shall know that I am the Lord their God because I sent them into exile among the nations and then gathered them into their own land. I will leave none of them behind, 29 and I will never again hide my face from them, when I pour out my spirit upon the house of Israel, says the Lord God.

Joel 2:28-29,

“Then afterward I will pour out my spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. 29 Even on the male and female slaves, in those days I will pour out my spirit.”

Acts 2:32-33,

32 “This Jesus God raised up, and of that all of us are witnesses. 33 Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you see and hear.”

Ezekiel 47:1-12

“Then he brought me back to the entrance of the temple; there water was flowing from below the entryway of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east), and the water was flowing down from below the south side of the temple, south of the altar. 2 Then he brought me out by way of the north gate and led me around on the outside to the outer gate that faces toward the east, and the water was trickling out on the south side.

3 Going on eastward with a cord in his hand, the man measured one thousand cubits and then led me through the water, and it was ankle-deep.4 Again he measured one thousand and led me through the water, and it was knee-deep. Again he measured one thousand and led me through the water, and it was up to the waist. 5 Again he measured one thousand, and it was a river that I could not cross, for the water had risen; it was deep enough to swim in, a river that could not be crossed. 6 He said to me, “Mortal, have you seen this?”

Then he led me back along the bank of the river. 7 As I came back, I saw on the bank of the river a great many trees on the one side and on the other.8 He said to me, “This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, and when it enters the sea, the sea of stagnant waters, the water will become fresh. 9 Wherever the river goes, every living creature that swarms will live, and there will be very many fish once these waters reach there. It will become fresh, and everything will live where the river goes. 10 People will stand fishing beside the sea from En-gedi to En-eglaim; it will be a place for the spreading of nets; its fish will be of a great many kinds, like the fish of the Great Sea. 11 But its swamps and marshes will not become fresh; they are to be left for salt. 12 On the banks, on both sides of the river, there will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither nor their fruit fail, but they will bear fresh fruit every month, because the water for them flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food and their leaves for healing.”

John 7:37-39

37 “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me, 38 and let the one who believes in me drink. As the scripture has said, ‘Out of the believer’s heart shall flow rivers of living water.’ ” 39 Now he said this about the Spirit, which believers in him were to receive, for as yet there was no Spirit because Jesus was not yet glorified.”

Revelation 21:3-4

“See, the home of God is among mortals. He will dwell with them; they will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them and be their God; 4 he will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for the first things have passed away.”

Revelation 22:1-5

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 through the middle of the street of the city. On either side of the river is the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit each month, and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3 Nothing accursed will be found there any more. But the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him; 4 they will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 And there will be no more night; they need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.”

Communion:

  • Head up to the front to take communion.

  • Return to your seat and reflect on the following questions:

    • How have you seen the Spirit “poured out” this year?

Benediction:

Move among us, Spirit,
and gather us together with you.
Take our many selves—
our lives, our loves, our ideas,
our questions, our speech, our silence—
and unite us as your people.
Give us the gifts of presence, transformation and guidance,
so that even as we dream your dreams and see your visions,
we may be able to witness to your presence
in our common life.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.—(2 Corinthians 13:14)

Amen.
