Missio Communities:
Begin the Week of Oct. 2nd.
We will begin to invite leaders who will help us form 3 Missio Communities
Worship/Kids/Hospitality Teams:
We have 3 teams we will be forming during September to help plug everyone into serving on Sundays as well to help spread the work of making Sundays happen to all of us. These teams are:
Worship: We will have a rotation of people helping lead music and songs. If you want to be a part of that please let Jared know.
Kids: We have a growing kids demographic at Missio which is awesome. Laura has put together a great plan for how kids will be taught and how to volunteer to help teach classes. Reach out to Laura to know more about that.
Hospitality: Each Sunday we need help with a few set up items like Communion Bread or Coffee. Also this team will help greet people at the door and help be responsible to tear things down at the end of worship.
Serving Opportunities:
Music Center: More outside yard work needs to be done. If you would like to volunteer some time to help with that let Jared know.
Northgate Elementary:
Water bottles for kids
copy paper
couch for the teacher’s lounge
Sojourn Campus Ministry:
Dawg Days are coming up near the end of September.
Chandler and Briana are a new intern couple that will be working with Sojourn. We want to welcome them to Seattle and be intentional to provide community and care as they move here.
Kambakia Training Center in Kenya:
We are continuing to provide support, both financially and spiritually, to the Kambakia Theological Training Center in Kenya.
This fall we will be more intentionally sharing their work and providing ways to pray and encourage them as we partner with them.
Missio Connect:
Next Missio Connect will be Oct. 15 @5pm

Call To Worship:
Acts 17:24-28
The God who made the world and everything in it, he who is Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in shrines made by human hands, 25 nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mortals life and breath and all things. 26 From one ancestor he made all peoples to inhabit the whole earth, and he allotted the times of their existence and the boundaries of the places where they would live, 27 so that they would search for God and perhaps fumble about for him and find him—though indeed he is not far from each one of us. 28 For ‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said,
‘For we, too, are his offspring.’
Songs:
This is the Day
This is the day

We will rejoice
We will rejoice

That the Lord hath made
We will rejoice and be glad in it
This is the day
This is the day
That the Lord hath made

Misc 1
(Bridge)
Name above all names
Worthy of all praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God
Jesus Loves Me
Jesus loves me! This I know,
For the Bible tells me so;
Little ones to Him belong;
They are weak, but He is strong.
Chorus
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.
Jesus loves me! He who died
Heaven’s gate to open wide;
He will wash away my sin,
Let His little child come in.
Chorus
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

Teaching: What if Jesus was Serious Abt Prayer: Power & Presence
Matthew 7:7-11
7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.9 Is there anyone among you who, if your child asked for bread, would give a stone? 10 Or if the child asked for a fish, would give a snake? 11 If you, then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
Matthew 6:9-13
Our Father in heaven,
may your name be revered as holy.
10 May your kingdom come.
May your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And do not bring us to the time of trial,
but rescue us from the evil one.
Kids Prayer/Communion:
Discussion:
In families, or couples, or the people around you:
what is a “Big Enchilada” prayer you would like to pray on someone else’s behalf this morning?
Someone in the group say a short prayer inviting God to take that request to do as he sees fit.
Benediction:
May the beauty of God be reflected in your eyes,
the love of God be reflected in your hands,
the wisdom of God be reflected in your words,
and the knowledge of God flow from your heart,
that all might see, and seeing, find peace in Jesus.
“The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. ”
(Numbers 6:24-26)
Amen
