Camping Trip:

  • Our Annual camping trip will be Aug 19-21.

  • We have 6 sites reserved at Colonial Creek Campground South which is on beautiful Diablo Lake

  • Mark your calendars & sign up with Jared in order to reserve your spot.

  • we can have up to 50 people this year

  • Missio is paying for the sites. All you need to do is plan your meals.

Serve Sunday:

Aug 7th after worship we will have a time of gardening the front of the Music Center. Come ready to get dirty and clean up and make things look awesome.

Teaching: People of Faith

Mark 10:13-16

  • What does it mean to come to Jesus as a little child?

  • How do we posture our lives to be a community of faith that approaches Jesus with humility, intention, and dependance?

We will spend the next little bit writing notes, telling stories of faith, and engaging in prayer through Color and drawing.

  • the left table (closest to the coffee) is filled with paper, pens, colored pencils and more. As you think of people of faith in your life who have walked with you, been a person of comfort and who helped you grow in your faith, I want you to do 2 things:

    • draw out what it looks like to be a person of faith who comforts, leads, helps others grow.

    • If you want, write out a thank you letter to that person letting them know that they were a person who helped you in your walk with Jesus.

  • The right table will be filled with paper, crayons, colored pencils, markers. We learned a while back what praying in color means. Spend some time in prayer by your self, with a friend, or your family.

    • draw out things you are thankful for, wrestling with, looking to God to engage in with you.

Communion:

We will take communion all together as one family.

  • I will lead us in a time of communal communion!

  • Take a piece of bread and a juice and go to a seat and we will take communion together.

Benediction:

Now that we've encountered Jesus anew: 

May we go and sin no more, 

May our spiritual eyes be opened, 

May we be healed and work for the healing of others, 

May we bring good news to the poor and hurting, 
And may we go forth in the peace of God's presence.
