Call To Worship:
John 14:16-19
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.
John 14:25-27 25
“All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Songs:
Centering Prayer
I wan-na be where my feet are. I wan-na breathe the life around me.
I wan-na lis-ten as my heart beats right on time.
I wan-nabe where my feet are.
I chase my wor - ries, I flee my sor - rows,
but what You give me is now.
So take my bur - dens and my to - mor - rows:
I wan-na give me is here. I get no far - ther, and still I find You:
I wan-nabe where my feet are. (Mmm, mmm)
I wan-na be where my feet are. I wan-na breathe the life around me.
I wan-na lis-ten as my heart beats right on time.
I wan-nabe where my feet are.
I run to capture the next horizon
but what you give me is here.
I get no farther, and still I find you
I wanna be where my feet are.
I wan-na be where my feet are.
The ground be - low me is how You hold me.
wan-na be where my feet are.
I wan - na be where my feet are.
Come All Who Are Weary
Come all who are weary I will give you rest
Come all who are striving lean upon my breast
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light
O come all who are weary come.
Come all who are wounded crying out “how long”
come all who are waiting for the break of dawn
darkness will not hide you, forever from my sight
O come, all who are wounded come.
Come all who are weeping, all whose hope is gone
come, all who are silent, all who’ve lost their song,
Your every tear is numbered, your every sorrow known
O Come all who are weeping come.
O Come all who are weary, wounded and weeping
all of God’s children come.

Teaching: Intro to the Holy Spirit
John 14:1
“Do not let your hearts be troubled…I am going to prepare a place for you, but I will come back and take you with me. You know the way to the place I am going.”
John 14:6
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
John 14:15-19
15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me.
John 14:25-27
25 “All this I have spoken while still with you.
Isaiah 44:3
“For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.”
Ezekiel 39:27-29,
“When I have brought them back from the nations and have gathered them from the countries of their enemies, I will be proved holy through them in the sight of many nations. 28 Then they will know that I am the Lord their God, for though I sent them into exile among the nations, I will gather them to their own land, not leaving any behind. 29 I will no longer hide my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit on the people of Israel, declares the Sovereign Lord.”
Joel 2:28-29
“And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. 29 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.”
Acts 2:32-33,
“God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of it. 33 Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.”
Acts 10:44-45
“ While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. 45 The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on Gentiles. 46 For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God.”
Titus 3:5-6
“he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior…”
Romans 5:2-5
“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”

Sing Over Me
When I am lost inside my mind
sing me the hope I can'not find
when my despair has left me blind
sing me the tune I left behind
Will you sing over me
will you sing over me
sing all the goodness I cannot see
will you sing over me
when all the grief pours through my hands
when I’ve forgotten who I am
I can’t feel anything but shame
sing out and give me back my name
Will you sing over me
will you sing over me
Sing all the goodness I cannot see
will you sing over me
will you sing over me
when I sink down beneath the fear
the weight is more than I can bear
keeping singing though I cannot hear
someday I’ll sing for you I swear
Will you sing over me
Will you sing over me
sing all the goodness I cannot see
will you sing over me
will you sing over me
will you sing over me
sing all the goodness I cannot see
will you sing over me
Communion:
Head up to the front to take communion.
Head back to your seat and discuss or reflect on the questions below:
What about the Spirit causes tension or doubt within you?
What would you like to learn or grown in regarding this Spirit this year?
Benediction:
Move among us, Spirit,
and gather us together with you.
Take our many selves—
our lives, our loves, our ideas,
our questions, our speech, our silence—
and unite us as your people.
Give us the gifts of presence, transformation and guidance,
so that even as we dream your dreams and see your visions,
we may be able to witness to your presence
in our common life.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.—(2 Corinthians 13:14)
Amen.
